Send the duly completed Printed Version of Application Form having Auto Generated Application No. alongwith requisite amount of Demand Draft to “Post Box No: 4334, Kalkaji Head Post Office, New Delhi-110019 ” (To be sent through ordinary post only) so as to reach on or before 16-May-2011.

AGE LIMIT: AS ON 01.04.2011

The maximum age limit for General candidates as on 01.04.2011 will be 25 years.

SCALE OF PAY:

Candidates selected against the above position, will be placed in E-II grade, at the minimum of the pay scale of Rs.16400-3%-40500/- . In addition, they will be entitled to DA, HRA, Conveyance Allowance, Performance Related Pay, Medical Reimbursement and other perquisites as admissible.

METHOD OF SELECTION:

Selection will be through written test and interview of shortlisted candidates based on performance in the written test.

Candidates who meet the qualifying criteria and whose online application is accepted are required to log on to the website and enter their application no. to access and download their written test call letter. Candidates are required to print the call letter and comply with the instructions indicated therein. Please note that call letters will not be sent through e-mail or through conventional mail.

Candidates, whose applications are accepted through the process of submission of online applications, are eligible to attend the written test at the respective centre. The call letters will be uploaded on the website on 10.06.2011

THE WRITTEN TEST WILL BE HELD ON 26.06.2011

The written test will be held at Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Guwahati centres. Candidates should choose the test centre nearest to their place of correspondence. SC/ST/PWD candidates will be reimbursed II Class to and fro train fare by the shortest route (from their correspondence address to the written test exam centre) for attending the written test on production of Railway Ticket Receipts and copy of the relevant caste / disability certificate, without which no reimbursement will be made. SC/ST/PWD are required to download and print the Traveling Allowance Format which is available in the advertisement. The Traveling Allowance Claim Form will be handed over to the Invigilator at the time of the written test. Please note that the candidates who have not downloaded, printed and filled the Traveling Allowance Claim form and with the required enclosures will not be paid TA. Request for change in the written test centres will not be entertained at any point of time.

The written test will consist of Objective type questions from basic Engineering subjects in the respective disciplines / specialisations and General Aptitude. The list of candidates short-listed in the written test for interview, will be placed on the BEL website on the 1st / 2nd week of August 2011 (tentatively). They will be required to appear for an interview for final selection. The results of selection will be available on the BEL website through query mode.
