National Institute of Technology, Mizoram is one amongst the ten newly sanctioned NITs by the Government of India in 2009 under the 11th Five year plan. It is being established in the State of Mizoram. VNIT, Nagpur is mentoring the Institute. Mentor Director (Director, VNIT, Nagpur) acts as Director and exercises such powers as Director till a full time Director is appointed.The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals, possessing excellent academic background, commitment to quality teaching, potential for carrying out outstanding research, and an inclination towards institutional development for the faculty positions at the level of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in various disciplines and also for the officers / technical and ministerial staff – Registrar, Dy. Registrar, Office Superintendent, Technical / Library Assistant, Junior Assistant, Technician etc. of the Institute. The Govt. of India’s Reservation policy including for age relaxation / concession for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and Women shall be applicable to NIT Mizoram. Once selected, the candidate will have to join duty immediately at Mizoram.
